PACs one afther another

PACs one afther another

Here's the deal.

I had an Atrial Flutter ablation in December 2006 and I was cured, yay.

I kept having PACs. But hey, they are normal etc etc.

But they are coming in packs now. They are not isolated anymore. When I have a PAC, I know I'll keep having them for two or three or five minutes. They come in bigeminy, trigeminy etc. Then go away.

Why in PACKS? I mean, is that NORMAL? Well before I had the Atrial Flutter I experienced "PACs in packs", so I'm feaking out thinking that the problem may come back. And even if it is normal, WHY this happen??

I have a normal structured heart, btw. And I'm 21 years old.

Thank you.

Some people have the physiology to allow for PVCs and some people do not.  That is the best answer that you are going to get.  If they are very frequent and always from the same location, they can be ablated but this is usually not the case.  The best approach is conservative management and to live with them.  Not what you want to hear, but again this is the best approach.  I know it is frustrating to know that there is no answer -- we just don't know and the mechanism might be different for different people.

I never know what to say to the "is this normal" question.  My usual answer is that it is normal for you and it is not dangerous.  There is not a definition of what is normal.  There are average ranges and you may have more than the average person, but it is normal for you.

I hope this helps.  Thanks for posting.
