PSVT, hypothyroid

Hi all,
I had thyroid lobectomy . After that surgery my "life of heck" began.  I started having heart palps, chest pains which increased. Had complete cardiac workup which only showed tachycardia.

After a 1 1/2 years of this was referred to electrophysicist cardiologist who diagnosed me with PSVT, attempted an ablation which failed because he could not find area to ablate. Then put me on 240mg. of verapamil. did not help, Tried cardizem, no help, and then flecanide- helped slow down but not pain.( I am now on low dose of synthyroid too.)

Got 2nd opinion, off all meds, feeling some better - no severe pain, but still have "runs of tachycardia" which can last a while. Going to see what new Dr. says now.
?? what meds work for you all- my PCP says to ask for beta blockers... but don't want to SO tired again.
My SVT seems to be set off by anxiety,- yes-  but loud music, loud noises, ect... make my heart race!!!   And when I have a BAD attack I have severe muscle spasm go thru my body. Anyone else??? Afterward I feel like I was beat up, sore chest, extremely exhausted and wiped out- like I did a marathon.
  Any comments or help are so appreciate.

Sorry someone with a direct connect to your problem hasn't made a post.

From what I read it looks like you are on the right track of living a healthy heart life-style and add to that some anti-anxiety methods.  I can't spell any of them out. You may find some good help with that on the anxiety community
