PSVT and ablation

I am a 49 yo white female who has had psvt since I was 18. I started having to be given Adenicine to stop the episodes 8 years ago. I've been on cartiazim or toprol, (I switch back and forth every year of so) for the last three years. Lots of breakthroughs and QOL not so great. lots of weight gain from meds.  I finally ready to look at ablation seriously. I have rbbb and the EP said there's also another pathway that shoots off the lbb that is blocked --- brachia something or other. He said it he will have to be more careful. I don't want a pacemaker. I live in Western North Carolina. Where should I go to have this done? Who do you recommend. What other information can you offer? Thank you so very much for your consideration. Sharon Davis

It depends on where you mean in Western NC.  Joseph Souza is a respected electrophysiologist that trained at University of Michigan.  He works with Asheville Cardiology.  If your doctor does ablations, it is probably worth talking to them about it is as well.  Most ablation procedure relatively straight forward.

It sounds like you have significant symptoms and probably would benefit from an EP study and possible ablation.
