PSVT

I have had SVTs since I was a child, they disappeared for 20 years, when they came back they came back good, even with 240mg verapamil, magnesium, and potassium, all prescribed by my Dr. I had an ablation on Nov 6, 2007. They are still now a once a week ocurrence like clock work, usually in the early am at 175-190 bpm. Vagal sometimes works as does dunking my head in a bucket of ice water, this does not always work and then it's a shot of adenosene. Does someone have a better way of breaking these things.

I had very persistent SVT for several years. Vagal maneuvers never worked. None of them.  Now vagal bearing might work once in a while.   I discovered a year or so ago if I quickly take a 50 mg lopressor, lay down and relax, it will break in 1-2 hours.  Give it a try.

Oh yeah.  What do ya think about adenosene.  I think it sucks.  For me it is painful, docs say they never have heard that.  I have had it more than my fair share.
