Hi,
Can PVCs cause you to gasp for air? Once in a while it feels like I need to gasp for air during the PVC and then it stops after the thump. Is this normalNormal saline flush? It isn't very long, maybe one second. I do suffer from anxiety, could that cause it? Please Help!
I also had one scary episode while laying in bed. I hadn't fallen asleep yet, and all of a sudden I needed to gasp for air. It lasted maybe 4-5 seconds. During the episode I was able to suck in a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys air but it didn't help any and it stopped about a second or two later, then I was fine other than being a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys startled. I was scared that it could be sinus pause, but I have had a normalNormal saline flushHolterHolter monitor (24h) and haven't had an episode like this since. Can sinus pause make you gasp for air? Could it be anxiety?
Some people comment on the "thump" while others don't seem to notice. I imagine it depends on the forcefulness of the beat and a number of other factors relative to body type, anxiety.....
I have not had to gasp for air despite having a lot of PVCs. It's possible that the anxiety is a contributing factor. It's always a good idea to touch base with your own physician anytime you experience a new or changing symptom.
