PVC s with ? Coronary Artery Spasms

My question is about the diagnosis I was given of coronary artery spasm . First a little history. Sept 09 I went to cardiologist to confirm suspicion of asd or pfo. I had started having chest pain and increased heart rate along with increased palpitations. I had an echo and it did reveal a PFO with an aneurysmal septum. As the year went on I had increased palpitations and chest pain. A holter monitor was done and I had 6000 pvc s and they correlated with all my pain and symptoms, and I also had an echo. The echo show  mitral value prolapse, PAP of 42 and mild tricuspid valve regurgitation . I also had a stress test done, that showed s/t elevation of .9 to 1.2 . Because of this I was scheduled for a cardiac cath and I was sent to a electrophysiologist. The cath showed a moderate pfo and normal PAP with a hyper sensitive heart ( I had A Lot of PVC s during the procedure along with chest pain). I was also scheduled for an EP study. During the study I was found to have my PVC s from my Left ventricle. During the ablation of the affected area I had a steam pop and the procedure was halted. I woke up with a lot of chest pain and was kept over night. During my stay I started having PVC s again. I was placed on anti arrhythmic rythmal 450 mg a day. I continued  to have chest pain. I was then placed on Nitrates issorbide dn 40 mg a day along with the rythmal. I am still having chest pain although it has been decreased. I get edema in my feet and legs ( one day I gained 6 lbs in a 48 hour period) when I sit down a lot or walk too much. I just noticed that the veins in my hands are also swelling at times , so much that I can see all the veins in my hands and fingers. I often spend the day in bed because I am too worn out to do any thing, I get short of breath when I bend over or do too much. I have pain in my hips and one finger one my right hand.
After that very long winded history ( sorry) my question is, Does that sound indicative of coronary artery spasm or could it be something else, or do the nitrates stop working that quickly?

Hi read your post...man o man you are really getting a run for your money as they say.  Personally if it were me it sounds like you still have alot of unanswered questions as to long term treament and everyone just completely backed off with you.  If it were my body i seriously would consider taking the bull by its horns and getting a second opinion from a heart doc that does it all...diagnosis, surgeon, ablater, etc.  Nitrates are meant to last an incredibly short period of time in order to relieve your symtoms (symptoms) in answer to your question.....as far as coronary artery spasm goes i have a feeling from your post that there is more going on with you than just that....it would seem to me that there should be a doc out there that may have a far more aggresive (aggressive) approach to your situation to remedy it before you get into a situation that they can't.  I would get proactive ASAP...good luck

Hi and Thank you for the post. I am wanting a second opinion I just have not decided if I should find a new cardio or a different type of Dr one that could look at the whole picture.
