PVC

I was on 25mg Atenenol 2x's a day. I recently reduced my dosage to 25mg morning only. Shortly there-after I started experiencing mild PVC's throughout the day, ususally when resting. But late evening my PVC's got severe enough for me to go to the ER. I didn't relate them to cutting my dose in half. My BP at home was 150/105. After taking my atenonol my BP was down to 130/78 at the ER. But my PVC's hadn't calmed down. Next night I took my Atenonol, the next day my PVC's were pretty much cleared up, (so far as of this writing). My question is could the reduction in Atenonol cause these symptoms? I have found no references to this. I experienced my first PVC approx. 25 yrs ago but went undiagnosed until my ER visit when they showed up on my monitor. I was previously diaganosed with sinus arrhythmia. That is what the Army cardio told my was cousing my chest symptoms.

My question is could the reduction in Atenonol cause these symptoms?

It is possible. If your PVCs respond to beta blockers, withdrawal of the beta blocker could make them worse.

If your symptoms correlate with the PVCs on monitor, it is what causes your symptoms.

I hope increasing the beta blocker helps.  Thanks for posting.
