PVC

Once in a while i have a fluttering sensation in my chest.  Feels like my heart stops for a second and resets.  I work out all the time, 40 years old resting heart rate at 60 beats in good shape.  When this happens my heart rates goes to like 90.  Happens a few times in a day and then not for a while.  Had EKG, Eco,Stress test and holter Monitor all showed no problems.  Anybody have any insight to this. Someone mentioned could be something called a PVC

Just a scary feeling.

a pvc is acctually not a skipped beat but if I'm not mistaken I think what happens is you have two beats that are actually close together and then it feels like no beat and then your heart goes back to normal.  Or as you said resets it's self.   To me it is very upsetting and when it just keeps happening it makes me upset and sets off more.  I have to keep telling myself the doctor says it is fine.  I did have an abltion for wpw and after the procedure these pvc and pac's started.  I finnaly decided to take the beta blocker that does make them appear not as bad.  Sometimes there is no controling them.  Hope you get to the bottom of this and it's just inisend "skipped" beats.

Could be a lot of things. The only way you'll know for SURE is an event monitor that actually catches it when it happens.  Doesn't sound like anything to worry about, and if the docs ran all those tests with no negative results, I wouldn't worry about it. A lot of people on this forum have the same sensations and just try to get used to it!  Not a pleasant feeling, I agree.
