Yes, many people get these once in while. And some can have ten thousand per day. Some only get them once in a blue moon. Either preventricular contractions or preatrial contractions are common occurances. They're just like the occasional stomach ache really.
PVC's are incredibly common and you would be hard pressed to find somebody who doesn't have any. Most people aren't aware of them at all and some people are very aware of them. I can watch mine on a monitor and not feel them at all even when I'm seeing them occur. For some once they begin to notice them, they can become hyper vigilant about them, causing them to notice them even more. You could try paying attention to whether they tend to occur if you even a certain of food or consumed caffeine, or if they are tied to a certain type of situation. Then perhaps you could either cut out or avoid triggers.
To put things into perspective, there are people on this forum that live with thousands of PVC's per day. Several dozen per day, while disconcerting is within normal limits.
I find it so hard to believe that a person would not feel these. They are so strong! So you think everyone would get these every day???
That sounds like you are having PVC's and your cardiologist is correct, they are nothing to even think about - everybody can get them and probably everyone has at least once.
They are very common and certain things can trigger them, certain foods, stimulants, emotional states, stress levels, sometimes posture, etc. That fact that you feel every one of them is because you are probably very tuned in to your heart as well, making them more obvious to you than normal. What would be best, is to get yourself "de-tuned" to your heart so much, just practice keeping your attention on other things and over time, you can get over the focus you place on them. But they really are normal and typical to every person and they're nothing to have concern over.
