PVC's and Hormones...

I've suffered with PVC's for a couple of years and have been to the cardiologist once. I'm actually going again in a couple of months because they seem to be quite a bit more frequent and different patterns.

Anyhow, I've been trying to pay attention to possible triggers. I've noticed the past two months that around my period is when they are soooo awful. I've see on this forum that other women have experienced this as well.

Has anyone talked to a cardiologist that has any specific information. Is it estrogen dropping or raising? Anyone try anything to help?

I think most of us females notice this, Jeff on the skipping hearts website put together a very good article that explains the process.  If you google skipping hearts and look on the front page his article is there explaining it all and he has some great references that has a bit more reading.

I haven't read the article in awhile but I think it has more to do with progesterone if memory serves me right...ugh don't quote me; my memory stinks :P

Thanks for posting this article. I read it and it makes sense. I was debating on if I should go back on the birth control pill because it may help, but this article makes it sound like that could make things worse. I also have high bp so should stay away from the pill for that reason alone.

Here we are a couple of weeks out from my period and things have calmed down it seems. I'm still having PVC's, but I'm only feeling them 5-7 times a day and the "runs" are shorter again. I'm dreading my next cycle if its going to be anything like the last two months have been with PVC's constantly. Has anyone found anything that helps? I saw someone was going to try an estrogen hormone cream, but there was no info on how that went. Basically it sounds like to me like its estrogen you want to get back up.

I also just had a baby and these were the first two periods since giving birth 6 months ago.  I'm sure my hormones are bonkers anyhow.

I have read some natural creams work, but I would ask my GYN about this; you may be surprised to find she/he knows something about your symptoms and can recommend something.

You may also need to have your hormonal levels checked just to make sure nothing else is going on there that is causing this problem.

Hello,

I recently started having PVC's myself and I firmly believe there from my wacky hormones but everyone just looks at me like I am nuts.  I have had them since I got pregnant sadly I misscarried but the pvc did not stop.

They put me on a beta blocker that seems to help butI think its my hormones
