PVCs and Insulin Connection

PVCs and Insulin Connection

Usually I can eat carbs with no problem, but when I go through these bouts of being prone to pvc's like I am recently, I have noticed that when I get really bad runs of pvcs - every other beat for hours, it is usually after a meal. I've heard many people complain of the same thing and have read about the Vagus Nerve being involved. I have found (and verified through testing it out several times) that when I get really bad runs of pvcs, it is after I eat carbs. For example, recently I had a lobster roll, fries and root beer on vacation. I had a horrible run of them shortly afterwards that took two hours to calm down when my Propranolol finally kicked in. Then I basically went on an Atkins type diet - salad and veggies with meat, chicken, fish etc... no fruit, no bread, no pasta, no rice, no sugar... etc... no pvcs! This has happened to me too many times to deny a connection. Does anyone have any insight on this at all or have you experienced a similar thing? I know not all pvcs are caused by sudden spikes in insulin, but for some reason I seem to be sensitive. Thanks for your input!

It's the same for me.  I can't eat a lot of sugar or a very high carb meal without a lot of PVCs.  I have confirmed the connection many, many times over the years.  At this point I just avoid sugar by default.
