PVCs like crazy...now thyroid issues.

Hi Everyone,

I have posted here before - crazy PVCs for over 13 years, a ridiculous number per day. My mom has hashimoto's disease and my sister is hypothyroid. Finally they tested my full thyroid panel, because my doc has always said my TSH of 3.5-4 was normal despite symptoms. My TSH is now 4.3 and Hashimotos antibodies are 130 (normal below 30). So doc has put me on Synthroid, 25 mcg.

Could the Hashimoto's have caused the PVCs, and is it safe to take this med with PVCs?

Just such a nightmare.

I have Hashimoto's and actually when my thyroid medication is adjusted I tend to get a reduction in PVC's.  They are not always linked, but my doctor has told me that PVC's can sometimes be improved with thyroid medication, if you need it, if you don't need it, it can increase them.  From your TSH it sounds like you need it.  I'm not saying this lightly.  I hate my PVC's.  I know that if you need thyroid medication you will only feel better on it...and it may just improve your PVC's.  All the best.
