All ekgs fine ( even when having every 3 beats) I am very scared to do treadmill tomorrow since last time exercise didn't bring them on but now do.

I have PVC runs when ever I do any exercise, jot
Showers, nervous etc. Causing panic attacks and depression. Just at wits ends. Thanks formletting me vent.

Go telk your doctor those exact words.. Hopefully hell refer you for ablation...

When people get so tired of palpitations and failed therapies that they literally start to say.. Frankly suicidal types of things.. Its probably a good time to just go burn.

Physicians need to stop just looking at physiologic benefit and risk and start considering psychiatric elements as well..

Noone throws the ethics book at plastic surgeons for their risky vanity projects.. It improves self esteem right? Pretty sure an ablation can be mustered for someone who sounds like their in agony. -_-
2 spelling errors

Wrong form of they're**

Psychiatric to psychologic.. Sorry world.

Hello,

Please look into Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). It is a very unheard of nervous system disorder that prevents the body from being able to properly adjust to the pull of gravity. Therefore, symptoms arise, such as: rapid heart rate upon standing, low or high blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, sweating, anxiety-like symptoms, headaches, shortness of breath, inability to exercise, digestion problems, etc. The symptoms are endless and vary person to person day to day. Very few doctors are familiar with this illness and often misdiagnose patients.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Best wishes,
Brandi

Saimon - what kind of thyroid issues do you have? I was hyperthyroidism and took pry for 4 years. Ive been off for one year. Levels are still good so not sure if thyroid related.

Mom2four- thank you for sharing your story. I do think stress is my biggest issue. Started to see a therapist today.

Today I had my stress test. had pvc's every other beat during recovery. Waiting to hear back from cardio but nurses and techs weren't concerned at all. BP stayed normal entire time and no other symptoms. Fear was my symptom! PVCs lasted about 3 hours afterward.

Hi i have PVCs, on and off, but it has been around 4 months that i have them non stop, i have seen the cardiologist and the EP and they said that they won't kill me, but is very uncomfortable to have the felling inside your chest.  i'm taking magnesium and multivitamins that what the doctor told me, and i have thyroid problem and sometimes i blame on the med i take, the food that i eat or maybe something is wrong with me.  i cry all the time and i have to work everyday, is not easy  to act that you r ok when you r s stressed.

I replied to you in anther thread but wanted to in yours also.

I've had some type of arrhythmia and fainting since age 9 but wasn't taken seriously until age 42 back in 2009 when they found I had roughly 50,000 pvc's daily. Before that an EKG showed I was in bigeminy back in April 2007 and was told nothing was wrong by my primary doctor yet when I showed the EKG to the EP he said I should have been seen right then.

I went through a full cardiac workup and was told all was "normal" then set for an ablation to get rid of the pvc's.  I didn't find out until later that I had multifocal pvc's, heart enlargment (cardiomegaly) and cardiomyopathy luckily for me the "plumbing" in my heart was fine and no plaque build up, clots or kinks were found.

It's really important to stay calm and as stress free as you can because it sounds like the ANS (autonomic nervous system) is involved because of your responses and it's probably the heat from the shower - try taking a cooler shower and move slowly to make sure you don't get dehydrated from the warm water and heat.

Each of us are different, our levels of tolerance, pain, and acceptance are all different based on what's going on and our genetics.  It is possible to live with arrhythmia's and be ok and not let them drag you down.  I used to walk, run, weights, do yard work run with my kids etc etc and never had any problems until I had my abltion; I had complications and almost didn't make it.

The heart is very resilient and can handle alot of abuse...mine stopped during my tilt table test then 3 times during my ablation and I had to have an ICD implanted.  Life happens and I've had to deal with it and bring myself up from a very deep place - it's not easy to deal with but I have no choice I can't let these monsters bother me and control me.

enough of my rambling ...believe it or not there are others who go through more than I have with no problems or complications - my last EP treats a woman with 80,000 pvc's daily only with meds for years...

not that I advocate psych meds, but sometimes they do help alleviate some of the symptoms with arrhythmia's...you have to find out what works for you - you and your doctor weigh the risks/benefits

Thank you for the encouragement. Thank you razzi00 as well. I know stress is a major factor for me. Ever dive they came in with a vengeance, I have done nothin but worry about them coming on, panic when thy are there and cry! My chest hurts all the time, like heartburn, which scares me. But I've had holders ( showe only 4!) ER trios, ekgs, echonon jan 2010 which showed heart perfect and treadmill then too. But now that they come all day, dr agreed To another treadmill but no echo as he said heart showed Fine before. I know I need To stop worrying but it's a vicious cycle. I appreciate everything and reading here helps so much. I do want to reclaim my life back!

Was just reading your comments, and I know exactly how you feel. I have suffered with PCV's for about 10 years now, and depression and anxiety set in. I was constantly taking my pulse, and lost all enjoyment of life. I went to several doctors, had many blood, x-rays, ct scans, holter monitor, and the list goes on and on. I finally decided one day I had enough, and the first thing I did was face my own mortality, and decided that if these things were going to kill me, I at least was going to live my life till they did. I started to learn to ignore them. I stopped taking my pulse, I quit going to Dr's and demanding yet another holter monitor test. I took control of the things I could, such as getting 45 minutes of exercise each day, eating a balanced diet, and keeping my life as simple and stress free as I could. The reason for the PCV's became less important in my life, but living my life became very important. I find now that even though I still have them, they really have no power of what I can, or can't do. I have learned to accept them, and in doing so have created a new and wonderfull life for myself, a life finally worth living,

Anything that has to do with our heart is scary even if the doctors seem nonchalant about it.  Hang in there and be honest with the doctor about your feelings.  Moving forward it is going to be important for you to get control of your anxiety.  The stress will definitely make things worse for you. Maybe try to do some deep breathing when the episodes come on.  This might help your heart relax a bit and may make the symptoms less disconcerting.  It's worth a shot.  Good luck with the test and let us know how it went.

Totallly agree about the anxiety. It does not help and may make them worse. You have to be convinced that if the doc says you are o.k. then you probably are o.k. Try to focus on how you feel physically besides the pvc's. If you have no other "symptoms" then you probably have nothing to worry about. You have to decide to LIVE with them.

Benign PVC's won't kill us....at least you will be monitored and if these are more serious why not find out about it while in a health care facility and not at home.  Anxiety is our worst enemy when it comes to PVC's....been there, am there.
