I'm wondering the same thing as upbeat633. Has the doctor asked you to get cardio clearance and that's why he/she is waiting on the gyn surgery? I had several procedures under different anesthesia (twilight, propofol) and also had lots of pcvs. I was probably more worried than everyone else. All turned out well. Turns out the anesthesia has a very positive effect on my pvcs -- quiets them way down.
With a structurally normal heart, PVCs are not anything to worry about. Do you have an appointment with a cardio?
Have you had a complete cardiac work-up and been told your heart is healthy besides having pvcs? You should ask your cardiologist why he/she doesn't want you to have surgery.
An E.P. I recently saw estimated 30,000pvc/day based on recordings from a 30 day event monitor. But I also had a recent minor surgery with general anesthesia and not a single person including the anesthesiologist nor the surgeon even blinked an eye over it.
