Pacemaker and Semper Fi

Can a person who had a pacemaker still join the Marines? I'm supposed to be getting it taken out in 6 years and I'm currently 18 years old, and I was wondering that if after awhile of it getting it taken out, i can still join with a waiver perhaps? Thanks for any feedback.

In my country (I'm not a US citizen), symptomatic arrhythmias disqualify, but I assume it depends on the symptoms. Why are you in need of a pacemaker?

I would recommend asking a doctor about this.
