Pacemaker syndrome?

My husband had a pacemaker installed last November and has had it adjusted 4 times since.  He is experiencing fatigue, dizziness, light-headedness and can be disortiented at times.  He is 53, in good shape and should be in the prime of his life - but he's not and I am worried about him.  Could this be related to pacemaker syndrome?  Perhaps sinus node dysfunction?  I would like for him to schedule an appointment specifically with his cardiologist - and not the staff that adjusts his pacemaker.  And I would also like a 24 hour EKG.  What do you suggest?

An appointment with the cardiologist sounds like a very good idea.   Pacemaker syndrome does not typically cause disorientation, but it does cause fatigue, dizziness and lightheadedness.  I am not sure that a 24 EKG will help, but it can't hurt.  The pacemaker itself holds information about the amount of time he is paced.  Sinus node dysfunction with a working pacemaker would not cause these symptoms.  I agree that an appointment with your cardiologist is a very good idea.

Hi. I am new to this. Can you tell me how you got a doctor to answer your post? I posted this morning but the doctor has not answered.---oh, my brother had a pace maker at 21. He has had lots of different symptoms too -especially when it was tested, but now is doing great on it. Its been about 6 years for him. Something like that. Maybe more. He has to get the batteries changed in about 2 years.
