Palpitation & exercise

Palpitation & exercise

I suppose have to exercise 45 minutes each day.  When I wake up, my heart is already in a run, light headed, SOB and sweaty.  Hardly sit down but Ok to put my head on the desk.  I would like to know can this episole replace my 45 minutes exercise?  Anyway, exercise is the need of our heart beat faster and sweat a lot, isn't it?

I paid $72.00 to ask "A" question about "Am I OK to exercise?"  The cardio told me that he can't see why I can't exercise.  A moderate exercise isn't a problem but "you also have Atrial Tachy".  ???  What's the answer?  I don't understand the second part so I ignored it.  I tried to walk when ever I can.  If I've the above symptoms, would it count that I had my exercise already?

Anyone can help me to understand the heart and exercise, the Dr's words meant?

Hi PIka,  I used to wonder the same thing - exercise gets the heart rate up to keep it healthy. So if my heart rate jumps to 190 by itself, wouldn't that be the same thing? I was just joking at the time but wondered a bit about it too. It's not the same thing. When I exercise my heart beats a bit faster and harder. I picture the blood swirling around through my heart and body. When I'm sitting and my heart races, it's more of a light pitty-pat and fluttery feeling. I don't think the blood circulates as well. Plus exercise involves your breathing and your muscles and that's all good.

Whether you should or can exercise - I don't know. You have the pacemaker and all so  your own doctor should tell you what you can do or can't do. Did your doctor tell you to exercise 45 minutes a day? You can do something simple like walking. That's usually pretty safe.

Ireneo, thanks for answering my post.  When I put myself on the BP machine, that race follow with the hard thumps actually is a disappeared heart beat on the machine.  May be they call it "skip beats".   Or may be I felt too sick (nausea) and unable to hear anything.  It does "Blank" me out but I'm still concious and able to see everything.  It repeats several times........ It'll end up with an elephant visit.  It doesn't look like SVT.  SVT I still able to play basketball.  This one likes.... the loading of the garbage truck.  I'll dizzy, nausea, SOB, follow with pain and no energy at all.  I don't think I can stand still with it.  I just afraid will fall underneath the big truck at the traffic light junction.

Yes, all the drs said I need exercise.  Diabetes Dr said I need a 45 minutes Power Walk.  Gastro dr said so.....  and I said so.........

If you haven't been exercising much, start out slow and easy. Don't rush out and do the "Power Walk" the first day. And even if you get into a regular walking routine you'll still have some days that just don't feel good. I have days that I can walk on the treadmill with no trouble. Other days I get started and my heart goes tachy. I don't worry about it and wonder what's wrong. I just slow down or get off and go do something else. The main thing is don't give up.

I parked my car far away (about one tram stop) then I walked to work.  Finished work, I walked back to the car.  It just about 1 minutes each trip.  I'll try to park 2 tram stops then.  Every time when I walk, I feel very nausea, cough, SOB and dizzy.  If I'm not stopping then the chest pain will start.  Would all these are normal?  Can I ignore them?  Or got to LOVE the heart?

Your symptoms are very similiar to Stu's he is fustrated when he is unable to work let alone exercise. His doc suggests exercise to get the endorphines going.

as suekgpc3 said well...no excuse....If I could build up my walking ,then slow running adding 5-5 minutes slowly... up to 1 hour running time, so can you, or anybody, at least up to walking  45 minutes, and when once you are there, don't let yourself to stop your body from doing it every day!!

The 'we have no time' is an other 'good excuse'...we must have time for exercise daily.
...and yes we have to LOVE our heart ...give it what it needs!:)
...exercise is one........

My parents were only made one heart for me.  No spare part.  They definately made another pathway in my heart for spare........  So I'll love my body and I'll do exercise as much as I can.

What is endorphines?

I understand why Stu is fustrated......  I took my daughter to see the chest specialist then went to the eye and ear hospital to see her throat.  We walked quite a bit.  I come back home with tears....

I'll do it again, I don't mind to hit myself on the wall or fence.  Why I would scare just the palps or pause or pain....  Not a big deal!  What ever they want to strike then go ahead!
