Palpitation with pain

Hi everyone, I have experienced palpitations for some time and am taking magnesium which almost got rid of them completely. But I recently experienced a skipped beat that was painful. This rarely happens but just wanted to see if others have had anything similar. I was sitting at the computer, I have very bad posture and was leaning forward, and i felt the pause then the skipped beat that send an almost electric feeling of sharp pain in my chest and slightly into my shoulder. It was unlike anything else I have experienced and it went away as soon as it happened. No dizziness or anything. I have been checked out a few years back and blood work, ekg and holter monitor were normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Are painful palpitations normal sometimes?
