Palpitations, PVC...and PAC

by xstalkrx, Jan 03, 2008 10:40AM
This has been going on for 2 weeks now...and its getting old.

I had an EKG done by a doctor who said I have sinus rhythm with sinus arythmia.  Sometimes I can feel my heart beating in my chest...sometimes I cannot.  So what do I have? Palpitations...PVC...or PAC?  What is the difference in the way they make you feel?

Every once in a while...maybe a few times a day....I can feel my heart pause....and then beat hard on the next beat to catch up.

Ugh..I just want this to go away.

So far I have had blood and urine work done which all came up normal. I also had that EKG done which he marked as sinus arythmia.  Will this continue for the rest of my life?

I used to have panic attacks when I could start feeling my heart beat and then my pulse would race up to 120 and stay there for a while.  This does not happen anymore.

I have perfect blood pressure and a resting pulse of 70.  I am 21 year old male.

Palpitations are the sensation of feeling your heart beat -- it can a be a PVC, sinus rhythm, etc.

If you feel the pause and then the hard beat, it is probably a PAC or PVC.  The only way to know for sure is to capture in on a monitor.  You can't always tell from the description of symptoms what is going on.

It is hard to tell how long they will last.  Some people have them their whole life, others will just have intermittent episodes of them.

I hope this helps.  Thanks of r posting.
