Post ablation--feeling 'fluttery'--but HR seems okay?

by chennen2, Feb 05, 2009 09:31AM
It's been a week since my ablation and start on new med Rhythmol 225mg 2x day.  My resting HR is usually around 66.  When I'm up and about--showering, getting ready--I'm doing about 96-103.  The ablation was done after I was admitted to ER with HR of 240 diagnosis of Atrial Flutter and Afib.  So, I believe my HR is okay.  But I still feel fluttery throughout day with the premature beats.  I am 45 and in good health.  I also feel light headed/fuzzy.  Is this side effect of meds?  Post procedure recovery?  I feel like I'm constantly thinking about my heart.....probably like the rest of you.  I had a follow up EKG on Monday.  Doc said he was still seeing flutters and should come back in a week.
I want to feel normal again.  Could I be creating this because I'm thinking about it???
