The ablation was for svt and they had the tubes going in through my groin and directly under my left collarbone, did you have ablation for A fib? I was back with my cardio last Friday and he said the chest pain might take another week or two at the time so I don't want to be pestering him but it's the shaking and lightheadedness/ near fainting that's developed that has me wondering, he had said my pulse was high but too early to worry about it yet -I'm due back to get a holter monitor in feb to see how things are then! :/
Did you have an ablation for afib? I believe it is possible that if you had an ablation for afib a pulmonary vein being involved can cause some of the symptoms you have experienced that will go away with time. The fact that the pain in the arm hurts when you move probably means that it is simply the burn spots that are causing you pain. This should also go away with time. that said, it has been a month since your ablation. I would think you would have improvement by now. Though it can take at least 3 month to know for sure an ablation worked I would think some of the pain would have subsided by now. I would suggest you contact your cardiologist and see what they have to say. Hang in there and I do hope you find some relief soon.
I'm sorry, but I don't. Make sure that you tell your cardiologist what you're experiencing. It took me a year for my PVC's to go away, amd even today (2years out), I still have shots runs of SVT. It no longer alarms me though. At 62, it may never completely go away.
Hiya Tom, thanks again :) I'm not sure if you saw my reply in the other forum, I'm getting these shakes sometimes when my pulse goes up, I find it still goes up just not in irregular rhythm! I was sitting in the car yesterday, very tired, bit of chest pain but once again no irregular rhythm and everything started spinning like I was going to faint but then luckily it stopped, I know you said it takes time but I hate not knowing what's going on! Any ideas?
I had mentioned my experience before, but just to consolidate your answers into one post:
I did not experience any stabbing chest pains or pain in my right arm.
I did experience the dull heartache for about 2 weeks. I used Ibuprofen.
40 burns is huge. By comparison, I had 17, and that was considered more than a lot here experienced at the time.
