Pregnant with a high resting heart rate

Hello- I am 36 weeks pregnant and in the last week my rest heart rate is 130 bpm.  My doctor has me increasing my water intake and coming back every couple days, and so far the increase in water hasn't made a bit of difference.  My blood pressure is a lot higher than normal at 140/88.  Not pregnant my normal resting heart rate is somewhere between 50-70, and I usually have extremely low blood pressure(commonly around 105/60).  My sister had a stroke at a young age due to a small hole in her heart.. and I am concerned about all of this.  Does anyone know of similar situations or what they would diagnose this as.. my doctor seems stumped as to why my heart is racing like it is... which really worries me!!   Can anyone offer any helpful info?!!

I take it your doctor, general or specialist, has not referred you to a cardiologist.  Given your sister's condition it seems to me you should have a check-out by a cardiologist.

I don't know anything about pregnancy and heart rate (HR), but 130 at rest is too high in "my book".  Your blood pressure is only marginally high and would not be a concern, I think, unless it gets worse.  Given you history of 105/60 I'd expect you BP to go down next time you measure it.  Do you have a way to measure at home? If not, check it the next time you're at the super market, or walmart.  I think those BP/HR machines are reasonably accurate.
