Propanalol 80mg slow release

I am starting this beta blocker for anxiety and high blood pressure.

I am a big girl and my blood pressure is quite high so I'm not worried it will drop too low but am worried about side effects.

Any idea what to expect. Shortness of breath terrifies me.

I took Inderal for years, first beta blocker I was ever on. No sorthness of breath, but aftr years of use, the Cardiologist put me on Sectral (Metropolol) for chronic PVCs. and BP. The Inderal (Propranolol) seemed to relax me and help with the PVCs. best to you

Results vary among people, but, for migraines, I was taking 240 mg Inderal LA (Propranolol slow release) every day, in divided doses, I was fine. One site I just viewed suggested dosing as 40mg twice a day of Standard Propranolol or 80 mg Slow Release once a day.

For the Standard Propranolol, they listed 640 mg as the maximum per day, in divided doses, so you're clearing that by a wide margin. I'm sure you'll feel sedate for a few days to weeks, but many people enjoy that, some have used prescription propranolol just for anxiety.

You mentioned concern of feeling shortness of breath, what exactly caused you to focus on that?
