Hi,
For me, I have been very fortunate with Prilosec and Protonix. I am ultra sensitive to many medications, such as decongestants and antihistimines as well as caffeine. I do indeed have dizziness, but I believe that another factor is involved, my long term use of Dilantin, which has been known to cause atrophy of the cerebellum, which (the atrophy) is known to cause dizziness. This atrophy has been suggested by the results of a CT scan that I had, yet I had an MRI, MRA, and another CT with contrast and was not told if the atrophy was indeed a problem.
Regards.
I also on Nexium and Tazac. Recently, I have my chest vibration. I am still having a lot of heart burns and dizziness.... Do you all get dizziness while on the PPI?
Hi,
Everyone's response to a medication is different. Nevertheless, in my case, on more than several occasions, I have taken Protonix for Acid Reflux. Frequently being plagued with PVCs at various times through out my life, I was quite surprised to discover that my frequency of PVCs decreased after I began to take Protonix. Since part of my arrhythmia, at least in the last year or so, has been characterized by a Swallowing Induced aspect, (I had been told that Vagal Stimulation was the cause of this aspect of the arrhythmia), it seems possible that reducing stomach acid, which may have decreased the irritation effecting the Vagal Nerve (it's on the Esophagus and Stomach among other areas) may have resulted in a decrease in PVCs.
I also have had no problems with PVCs as a result of Prilosec, a chemically related Proton Pump Inhibitor (as is Protonix).
Wish you the best with your health.
