Pvc's with couplets

First, why are all these last dates in Nov? Is there any recent activity here, in this category? (hope so!--now it is!)

I am an RN of 36 yrs and understand EKG's pretty darn well; however, now I experience couplets and PVC's
daily. As the cardiologost said, unfortunately some people 'feel' theirs and I surely do! I feel weak at times, like hypoiglycemia makes one fell, plus this heat outdoors makes it worse for me. The Dr changed me from Diovan HCT
to Albuterol, hopefully to help the PVC's. It doesn't seem to be helping much. My stamena is also 'down' from 3 lumbar surgeries & staph infection (not MRSA) 5 mo ago. I, of course, want MORE reassurance! (59 yr old)
I feel like I need a heart Cath or something. I agree with others, it just doesn't feel SAFE with this abnormal heart
activity. My nuclear stress test, echocardiogram, and 24 hr halter monitor were basically benign.
                                                                                                           Yours truly, cottontop

I am glad you did not have MRSA, I am really scared of that. Anyway, I am 57 years old and have PVC's my whole life and my cardio says the same as yours, some feel and you are very sensitive.  How can you not be when you feel like you have bunches in a row.  All my tests were like yours, except I am suffering from Epstein Barr Virus, Hashimotos Thyroiditis and Vitamin D Defeciency.  The hashimotos at this point is not treatable as my TSH is normal.  Now the Vitamin D does casue heart palps and I have noticed some improvement. Have you had your Vit D level checked?  You have been through a lot and maybe your body is just worn down. I am with you, it does not feel normal, but there are alot of good posts on this site.
So you are not alone,  yesterday I got like so many in a row for about 2 seconds, but it scared me and I started crying.   I also have GERD and my cardio did say that sometimes gas can produce symptoms, but that was very unlikely. Whatever, sometimes I wonder.
Hope you feel better

Have you checked into "My Medhelp" to see if you can set the posts so the most recent comes to the top? That's what I did but it's been awhile since I did it. Also, some folks will be browsing the archives and add a post to an old one instead of starting a brand new post. That shows up again on the board as recent.

I'm curious about the Albuterol.  This is a stimulating steroid, and it surely AGGRAVATES my PVC's, not the opposite.  Actually, asthma treatments can set me off like nothing else can.

I also use albuterol for my asthma. Actually it's not a steroid like beclomethasone (Beclovent, QVar). It's a quick acting adrenergic med that opens the airways. That's also why it increases the heart rate for 10 minutes or so. I also get shaky when I use mine.
