RBBB

by Anamarie, Mar 31, 2008 10:24PM
My husband was a passanger in a car accident where his chest folded and he has had pain in several different degress ever since.  He went to the ER where they admitted him with a Myocardial Contusion with a newly discovered RBBB.  The EKG shows a normal sinus rhythm rate of 66 but a borderline left atrial abnormality with a RBBB (QRS>120, terminal axis (90,270).  CT of the chest was normal. Labs showed high levels of ALT and Monocytes and Glucose.  The cardiac enzymes were all normal.  Echocardiogram results stated that he wasn't having a heart attack.  After they ran all the tests the doctor said that he didn't have a Myocardial Contusion.  The doctors think that this may be pre existing condition.  Can A RBBB get worse with trauma to the chest?  He never had any problems until now.  Why would he be having such pains now if it wasn't related to something that happened during the accident?
