Racing heartbeat.

My heart has been racing quite often for the past month or so. It's been being around 100ish quite a bit.....and it is for no reason!
Today I was just sitting and talking to my.mom and my pulse jumped up to 148 for no reason. When I checked it again approx 30 mins later it was 124. Better but still not good for just sitting there.
I dont know whats going on but I am going to the Dr Mon morn....getting a bit concerned.

Warmer weather often brings about higher heart rates. What was your normal resting rate before this started? A resting heart rate near 100 may be normal for some. There are a few different rhythms that can cause elevated or inappropriate heart rates. Sinus Tachycardia, Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia, Supra Ventricular Tachycardia, Paroxysmal Supra Ventricular Tachycardia.

These rhythm disturbances are fairly frequent, and for the large part, accelerated rhythms that originate from the top of the heart (Supra means above, Supraventricular means above the ventricles). All the rhythms above originate on the top of your heart.

Please post the results of your doctor's visit and any medications prescribed.
