Rapid blood pressure changes

Can you tell me what this is...

My blood pressure fluctuates in a strange way - it jumps like a heavy machine gun & feels like a rapid pulsating electric shock (3-5 pulses in quick succession).  It feels like a nauseating tingling in my head and my hands.

Background - I have fought with atrial fibrillation since 1998 (cardioverted nine times and two cardiac ablations - 2005 & 2006).  I presently take Cardizem (120 mg in the AM & 240 in the PM) in addition to Zocor, Lisinopril/HCTZ and Synthroid (25mg).

I don't understand your symptom, i.e., your description sounds more like how your heart is beating, not necessarily what your blood pressure is doing.  I don't believe BP is ever measured on a "per-pulse" basis.  

With all the treatment you've had for AFib I must assume you have one or more regular doctors, including a cardiologist, and perhaps an electro physiologist.  Have you asked any of them?
