Rapid heart , 120 bpm while resting!

I have this strange rapid heart beat while I`m resting. I was counting and my bpm were 110-120. This is happening just after I quit smoking and alcohol , furthermore 2 months ago I was diagnosed with Staphylococcus Epidermis. After I gentamycyn injeced for 2 weeks the bacteria is working less. But still this BeatPerMinute heart rate is not even getting better. I exercise twice a week, Jogging or bodybuilding. While I exercise I can see my heart beat in my shirt.
After this I went to the doctor and he suggested me to do Echo Cardiograph Ultra Sound Scan. And I did, and doc says everything is fine with my heart. Now I`m frustrated. Should I continue with exercise? Is this BPM ok for me? I hear and I read all over internet that more than 110 heart bpm is not good and one should consider health care. Well this this my story in short.

You need to ask your doctor if that resting heart beat is acceptable.  Does it bother you? and how old you are, are other factors to consider.  My heart rate was over 100 while at rest, sometimes in the 120's, so I decided (along with my doctor) to start on some beta blockers to slow it down.  I am in my early 40's, and the fast heart rate really bothered me, I felt scared and needed it to slow down.
Maybe this is a reaction to the injections you have been given???? I don't know.My advice would be to talk to your doctor, if there is a possibility that this is a reaction, then waiting may be an option before you consider more medication?

It is bothering me yes, somehow it is becoming a habit to check my puls many time during the day and figured out that just after I eat a big portion of meal I become very lazy and I can hear my heart bumping very strong.
I am 27 years old and I`m not overweight.
I need to talk to the doctor again even thou he says my heart is fine.
