Really scary irregular heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!

So today in school i was walking when all of a sudden my heart started to beat irregular and fast. It felt like the top part of my heart wasnt beating in rhythm with the lower part of my heart. Ive been to the cardiologist and done all the test and he siad eveything is fine and not to worry. I also have real bad anxiety. Can someone help me!!!!

I dont know what to tell you other than if you had that and it wasnt caught, they need to keep giving you tests till they catch it. There is a 30 day event recorder they can do for a month. I would def. tell your cardiologist exactly what you told us--about the top and lower not beating together.

I know exactly what you are talking about.  I have had that happen to me and once when I was on a monitor.  With me it was premature atrial contractions...it's a very weird feeling.  You need to call your cardiologist and tell them what happened.  It does need to be caught on a monitor so you can be sure what it is.  Don't worry tons about it.  I've had it happen several times and I'm still here.  PACS (if that is what it is) are nothing to worry about and can definitely be caused by anxiety.

Mike sorry that you are going thru this...i think alot of us on this site have been there and done that...so fine if the doc says not to worry and i am only assuming that he'/she feels its benign you need to find out what it is that you need to do to try not to have a reoccurance of the same thing..i do know that there are specific lifestyle changes that can be made to keep this at bay and the rules of engagement are :
No caffeine this means not just coffee but tea that is not decaf...definately no energy drinks, no red wine, no chocolate, limit your sugar, make sure that you stay hydrated with plain water not vitamin water and the docs say at least 6 glasses a day because dehydration can set this off like crazy, no gatorade type of products because of the electrolytes in them, limit your stress levels and definately no burning the candle at both ends meaning you have to get sleep at nite, and try to not worry so much.  Seems like everything that is benign now of days is having to do with docs telling people its anxiety driven and i am sure thats true so maybe if people were given more info they wouldn't be so nervoius about what is happening and then get anxiety attacks and yes they can cause your symptoms...the great news is that you got the green light...the bad news is that the doc didn't sit you down and explain exactly what the heck is going on with you to help you thru your worries...i am just sayin".........................
