I know it's really hard to do right now, but try to save the worry until you know there's a need. Bottle it up, put it on the shelf, and then when the tests are over and you get the results, you can decide if you want to take it off the shelf and open it up again.
Worrying about heart rhythm issues ALWAYS makes them worse. Always. And there are far more arrhythmias that are benign than ones that are dangerous.
So put that whole issue in a box, seal it up, stuff it away into a corner of your mind, cover it with your dirty laundry, and then decide when you want to let it out. Have your echo (they're really easy), and then figure out what you need to do after that. Keep it simple and logical.
Try to be calm, that will help on all fronts, while you wait further testing. The comment about unusual for someone your age simply says most people don't exhibit any heart problems until they reach senior years. My first onset of atrial fibrillation came up at the age of 57, best I can recall. Before that I passed many EKG tests with flying "colors". Said another way, many of us will have heart problems if we live long enough.
Back to you, your age is all in your favor, and I'm sure you'll get a diagnosis and treatment that will put you in good health. Do try to relax, emotions will not do any good and will give symptoms that may make diagnosis more difficult.
