Resting pulse above 90

by philip314, Nov 06, 2009 07:47AM
I'm just wondering is it dangerous to have a pulse over 90 all the time. No matter what I'm doing it's fairly high. I also get palpations frequently. I am 16 and fairly thin. I went to my doctor and he did an ecg and some blood tests and says it's probbably stress. Also the pulse on my neck is pretty weak most of the time.

I don't think you have much to worry about. A lot of people have higher than normal heart rates and do just fine. Watch what you eat and drink. Mountain Dew has more caffine in it than any other drink; chocolate is also loaded with caffine. You are 16, go and enjoy your life, you are about to become an adult soon and for the rest of your life. The goofing off you do now won't be acceptable when you become and adult either.
