Running with pacemaker ?

Hi, I used to run 6 miles a day but 18 months before my PM implant my running capacity decreased dramatically, I have now my PM for almost 2 years but I never recovered my running capacity, I have never quit the running, 3 miles everyday now but I have to stop and walk to take a breath, and I run very slow, my HBR doesn't goes over 115. the PM works 98% of the time, maybe it's the setting and my doctor is too conservative
I' only wish I could run again
thanks

I have no experience with a PM, but have a long history of running up to the age 67... then AFib took me out of that "game".

I believe a PM is set to trigger your heart when the rate is too low... it has nothing to do with your upper lilmit.  That said, for sure discuss runnig with your cardiologist... or other PM specialist.

I do not know what HR you had in the past during the 6 mile runs, but it must  have been much higher than 115. (probably 170-180?)
I am not surprised that with max HR of 115, you run very slow and have to walk now and again.

115 is low, but perhaps the doctor has good reasons for it.
I would discuss with him the reasons for this low max HR.
