SHOULD WE GO TO ER???????????

I can't get an answer on the Heart Disease forum, so I'll try this one.  My mother is 90 years old.  She has chf and hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.  This morning she had palpitations.  Afterward I took Mother's bp and it was 163/70.  Later it was 145/70.  Normally my mother's bp runs much lower.  She takes Amiodarone as of almost a year ago...last Aug.  Mother was in the hospital with chf.  the doc told me that she was at end of life.  It's almost a year later now, and NEVER has her blood pressure been this high.  It is usually 115/50.

Do these symptoms sound like an ER route is in the making?

Actually, I would call her doctor FIRST and see if they think she should go to the ER.  Her BP may be higher than her normal but not that high.
