I think it is fairly commonCommon cold. I know my rate goes up, especially if I eat something I am either allergic to or am sensitive to. Also, our digestive has to work harder when we eat, especially if it is a big meal, and this in turn can boost the entire metabolism up and cause a faster rate. I know for awhile, I used to be afraid to eat because I would always feel my heart more, but, now that does not bother me, I wish the PAC's did not bother me. Oh well, all takes time, I guess.
The same thing happened to me. I ate a huge meal and my heart rate started to go up and up, even while on 12.5 mg ToprolToprol-xl. I've been eating very small meals the past week, b/c I'm afraid of it happening again. It hasn't so far, so I'm slowly starting to relax. It was very scary though. How fast was your heart rate?
