Well if it is any consolation the svt won't go away. There is a likely a structural problem that you were born with and so the episodes will continue to happen so even though you may not think it is necessary and the medical community deems it a choice I think it is good for your heart in the long run to be rid of the episodes. Why risk the off chance your heart tires out from the episodes and you wind up getting congestive heart failure. Most of my episodes were very short around a minute or 2. I had a couple of really long ones but never went to the ER figuring they would stop before I got there so why bother. You obviously have an issue and hopefully this procedure can correct it. Take care, I will send good thoughts your way on the 6th.
Thank you so much. My EP study is on March 6th. Funny how when I'm feeling fine I have second thoughts about it but then when I know something is going on, even when I don't have a full on episode, I get anxious to just have it done and fix all of this. Thanks again.
People have all sorts of symptoms similar to yours. The clicking your feel may be a pvcs or pac happening right before the svt actually being the trigger for it. This is common in people with an svt called avnrt. But it sounds like you are going in for a study and ablation. When is it scheduled? Good luck and let us know how it goes.
