Sharp Heart Pain Then PVC

Hi guys and gals I just have a quick question for you all.  Ive been seeing my EP for short runs of VT and PVCs.  She says I'm basically fine and unless I pass out theres no reason to give everything a closer look (I was put on 120 of Diltaizem and have been on that for about a year).  The one thing that bugs me still is I'll have a sudden sharp pain in my chest and then will have a PVC or two... Sometimes I get really freaked out and it keeps me from exercising (I get depressed when I stop exercising so you can see how this can become a viscous circle of depression).  These little episodes can happen a few times in a minute and then just stop and not come back for weeks or months.  I told my doctor and she said not to be concerned unless I pass out.  

Just wondering if any of you have these sharp random pains followed by or preempted by PVCs... and if so... what are they?

Only a doctor can say for certain what you are feeling and they would likely need to capture it but you are probably feeling the pvcs itself when you feel the pain.  I don't actually feel the pvcs and pacs but rather the subsequent pause that happens as the heart catches up.  If I get a bunch together I will feel like someone is poking me with a stick but it doesn't last and any chest pain I feel is generally gone with a good nights rest.  I guess, unfortunately for you, your irritated spot in your heart is in a spot that is sensitive.  Hopefully with time your body will adjust and this is just a phase that will pass.  Take care.
