Sinus Node Modification

After the procedure, how long is the recovery time for this type of procedure?  I just know I was told the procedure can take between 4-6 hours and I might still need a pacemaker.  Thank you.

I had my AV node ablated in March 09.  I arrived at the hospital at 6:00AM, was admitted and started slapping all the patches on at 7:00 and  in the cath lab by 8:00, back in recovery at 8:45AM and checked out of the hospital by 1:30PM.  I felt fine and resumed all regular activities the following day.  I already had a pacer so I did not have to have that done.  I am not sure what is entailed with a Sinus node ablation.  Good luck.  I am sure you will do fine.
