Sinus tachycardia anyone else?

Hello all,

I am a 20 year old male and lately well for about a year have been getting episodes of fast heart beat, around 120 to 140 bpm. Sometimes it's gotten bad enough that I go to the hospital, so far all i've found out from there is that it is just normal sinus tachycardia and they can always bring it down by giving me fluids and some anti-anxiety medicen (I have a bad case of anxiety disorder and worry about everthing). They never find any arrhythmias or anything wrong with me. I've had all the heart tests done such as a 48 hour holter, echocardiogram, countless ecgs etc and everthing comes back great. I'm starting to get real sick of these episodes and can't seem to find out how to treat them or prevent them on my own. My doctor seems to think anxiety plays a big role in my elevated heart rate and that seems to be true but I can't seem to contol it at all. I was wondering if anyone else out there has this problem and if you have found anything that helps. Any feedback would be great, I just feel like I'm not getting any definate answers as to how I can prevent this or treat it without going to the hospital :( and there is always my nagging health anxiety that makes these episodes much worse. I just always think there must be something wrong with me that is causing this but my doctors say there isn't. My episodes of tachycardia also seem to get worse or happen more often at night after eating? Don't know why this would be. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope I'm not alone.

I haven't seen an electrophysiologist but the doctors i've seen so far see no need for it. I did forget to mention I have right bundle branch block and a little bit of the left but that was there since birth and it doesn't seem to effect me except for a slow heart rate at night while sleeping, somewhere around 50-55 bpm, but then again thats not that slow. I also have no family history of any heart problems except for heart disease caused by old age and poor diet and a lack of exercise. I also forgot to mention that i'm not overweight, I exercise regularly and find no problems when exercising in fact my heart rate seems to go slower when exercising then when I am just sitting watching TV eating dinner (strange). So this is all very puzzling. I don't have these episodes of sinus tachycardia every night and lately i'm trying to keep myself more hydrated since every time I visit the hospital they treat it with fluids so maybe I can prevent it by drinking more water (hopefully). I've been trying this for only a day and I haven't had any episodes yet but it's to early to tell if this is actually working.

Thanks for your replies.
