Sinus tachycardia arrhythmia

I am a 20 year old female University student.

Since 22nd April 2009 I have experienced some very strange symptoms that have baffled my cardiologist and GP.

My symptoms include:

Sinoatrial sinus tachycardia (from sitting to standing position my heart rate accelerates from about 90 bpm to 160 bpm within 1 minute)

Sometimes my heart rate is 120 beats per minute just laying flat on my back, particularly when I am tired

My average heart rate on my 24 hour holter monitor was 90

Visual disturbances (shadowed, black type spots when I look into the distance and look up, sideways or down etc)

When I walk on a road with a slight upward hill my heart rate goes up to about 200 bpm

I have had blood tests, a heart echo, been checked for adrenal tumours, had an MRI and all i shows is sinus tachycardia, maximum blood pressure 170/100, no low blood pressure issues and low vitamin D and low parathyroid.

Any ideas to try and end this mystery?

ask about a tilt table test; which can dx many different things - yours sounds a bit like some POTS symptoms - Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, but may be nothing at all

POTS patients can have excessive heart rate increments upon upright posture. A person with POTS will experience heart rates that increase 30 beats or more per minute upon standing and/or increase to 120 beats or more per minute upon standing
