Hi I am now 40 and have been having these palps since i was 24 ish maybe before.I always thought it was a hormonal thing even though my hormonal levels seem to be ok,have had ecgs etc and my heart seems to be ok also,so it was reassuring to read all comments regarding this, one other thing is my hair seems to fall out alot during this stage also,no bald spots just seems finer than it used to be i believe its all hormones, all started happening after the birth of my daughter. So thanks to all who have posted:)

OMG i thought i was crazy!I have heart palpitations pretty regularly although i have no heart disease but 5 days before my period my heart goes nuts!I get like three or four in a row every 2 minutes! It is really scary even though i expect it.i wish there was something i could do to get rid of these because they make it hard to concentrate on anything!

I get those pesky PAC's before my period, in fact, I know when it is near as these darn things warn me. I have read it is hormonal, and I guess during this "time' our bodies are more sensitive. I have just started using "bio-identical" Progesterone cream, called "Fem-Gest" I am anxious to see if this helps, a book I have says it does, so, we shall see. The name of the book is called "What Your Doctor May NOT tell You about Menopause" and the other is about Peri-Menopause, same author, Dr. Lee, I highly recommend both.

Hello to you both!  I can say that I too get these pesky things before my cycle and after as well.  I have been told by my doc and others that this is all Hormonal.  I am on no meds for it due to mostly I get them when the changes start before my cycle begins (this could be 1-2 weeks prior)!

I wish u both the best and I hope this will help!!
