Skipped beats

by Al50, Jun 05, 2008 10:15AM
I had a surgery for aortic valve rplacment in 2003 and since then have developed skipped beats  sometimes triggered by exertion and i feel faint. Holter doesnt show anything significant as per the docs.  However, if I take a steroid for 3-4 days the ectopics disappear totaly. as per my cardio its because of my wheezing.  Is it dangeropus to get skipped beats on exertion and can i play golf and walk etc. even though i get them

Have you had a stress test, or a stress echocardiogram?  Those tests would allow the doctor to see your heart while it is working.

Are you taking asthma medication?  I'm pretty sure I read where some of our members have PVCs because of their asthma medications.
