EP told me the other day that a heart rate of 100 is normal and not svt.
The only way you'll find out what they are is to catch them on an event monitor.
it may be a run of PACS or it could be a slower svt
Thank you for your response. Well I do not get pounding in my chest like you describe. I just can feel my pulse after the premature beat and it is faster for consecutive beats. It seems like the only thing left is VT. I had a holter and event monitor but most of the premature beast wer pvcs and only a few pacs.
Definitely yes for me. Other things can cause them too like eating too many carbs, too much caffeine, going awhile without eating, stress...
I had SVT and for me it was impossible to take a pulse because the beat wa too fast. (250bpm)
After I had an ablation for SVT I had a short run of fast heart beats and thought it might be a mini episode of SVT. I asked my ep about it and he said they were a short run of PACs. Not to worry, he said. You'll know if it is SVT. You're heart will feel like it is trying to pound right out of your chest. I can see my chest move to the rhythm when I had them. Add to that the speed, and the first time I had one I thought I was having a heart attack.
Yes, for me if I dont get rested....they increase. Also if I am sick or anything.
You cant tell what the fast beats are by taking your pulse. They could be svt or vt or whatever.
