Sleepiness

I've just started going to a doctor mainly to help with excessive daytime sleepiness that sometimes comes on very strong, as I'm a teacher and can't perform feeling like this. No amount of sleep or napping will remove the sleepiness. We have done bloodwork and everything has come back normal (we did not check t3 though), pulse ox was fine according to them, but here is my question- My O2 levels are always around 92, my pulse averages 35-40, and blood pressure generally ~105/70. These are waking and sleeping stats. Pulse responds accordingly to exercise. I was once in very good shape years ago, but haven't been to a gym or worked out in years. I am not an athlete. The GP wants me to do an overnight sleep study which is prohibitively expensive. Could this be thyroid related, or bracychardia? Either test would be cheaper, and I am more concerned with the low-ish O2 and pulse than I am with possible narcolepsy. I am a 6' 200lb 30 year old non smoking male with no other known health issues.

Yes I did an at home sleep study this week. My O2 was between 90-94 all night but didn't have any noticeable dips at any time.  I have never been told I snore by my partner of 6 years or bunk mates in the military before that. My uncle has a cpap that he's going to let me borrow tonight just to try anyway though I really don't think it is apnea. My sleep lately has been very easily interrupted by any little thing, but if I sleep in the spare bedroom with white noise up high I can sleep seemingly uninterrupted the whole night, but in the morning it always feels like I just took a 15 minute nap. My mind has been suffering which is why I started going to the doctor. Sometimes it feels like there just isn't anyone 'home' upstairs.

Do you have a sleep partner?
Do they report that you snore?
Is your shirt collar size 18" or greater?

In addition to what you reported above, saying yes to one or more of these questions could be an indicator of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Have you investigated the possibility of an at-home sleep study?

Also my heart feels 'funny' a lot of the time lately, but this may just be me freaking myself out about it. Not pain or arrhythmia, just an uncomfortable sensation, and sometimes my pulse makes my body move.
