Sleeping arrhythmia?

by Sandee662, Nov 02, 2008 08:09PM
All day I am fine but at night when I fall asleep on my side about an hour or so after I go to sleep I wake up and feel twitching in my side---by ribs.  Sometimes I believe it is my heart beating irregular beats.  I check my pulse but sometimes it is normal and othertimes it feels like it is matching the side twitches.  I sometimes get the shakes or chills then.  (maybe from being scared...I don't know.)  The rest of the night and during the day I feel great.  Thanks for any advise.

Sandee,........when my arryhthmias first started, I found that if I lay on my left side, I 'd sometimes get the exact same things you descriebed........I could turn on my right side and not feel anything.......also, sometimes I feel the twitching in my chest at other times of the day, and find a regular pulse at my wrist........if I go into A Fib of course I can feel it in my wrist, though sometimes I don't feel it in my chest, as long as it is slow A fib.......long story short, ......I have much more regular heart rates since I started taking a fish oil supplement

Thanks, sorry you have to go through this too.  I do take fish oil but sometimes I forget.  I think i was on my left side but I also had this happen on my right too.  I wonder if using an extra pillow and being on my right or back will help.
