Sleeping when in SVT

Sleeping when in SVT

I hope someone can help....so i've been living with svt for 3 1/2 yrs now. Most events last about an hr but i've had a couple lasting 4hrs, the first time i couldn't convert (4hrs) i went into " i'm going to die mode " and went to hospital to be converted. I used to know what would trigger them, bending over, but now they start just out of the blue with no triggers and not all my tricks for converting seem to work as well =(

So last night after not having any for 4 mths guess what " SVT " this one lasted 5 hrs, it was late at night so i was very tired and just needed some sleep....

So my question is this....would it be ok to try to sleep it out rather then sitting up waiting for it to stop ?

BTW it converted when i laid down on my left side =) Also how long have other people been in SVT

Thanks

I think that it would be dangerous to let the SVT continue for that long.I would definitely get on some kind of medication if I were you..Have you considered antiarrthymic drugs? When your heart is beating that fast it does not have time to rest, which could be dangerous and probably lead to a worse condition. I don't mean to scare you, but you should probably talk to a cardiologist and get on some medication that would help with the SVT,but I definitely would not sleep through it and I wouldn't let it continue for over half an hour. Let me know if this helps!

I have SVT as well,so I have been there..The longest mine has lasted was the other day and this was 30 minutes. Usually it lasts just a few minutes and I can get it back to normal. They told me in the ER to not let it go any longer..SO,lookinto some drugs if you can.Let me know how it goes!
