Once the pacemaker is placed in the chest and no signs of infections have occurred.  Can the ejection fraction at some point increase.  And if so, other than meds, is there some type of surgery, herb, and or diet/exercise that will allow this 35% to increase to 50%.  If you have any idea, please advise, even if it is out of the country.

The only cause of low/poor ejection fraction I know of is heart valve problem/s.  I had a mitral valve repair due to concern about my heart being enlarged by back-pressure through the mitral valve.  After surger my EF went up to 60%.  I don't know what it was before, but 60% is good.  I believe EF at or over 50% is considered good.
