I just got back my echocardiogram results back and of course they were fine, just like all the other tests. The cardiologist said i took the wrong test and was suppose to take a echo/stress test to find out why i have skipped heart beats and ocassional chest pains. I was afraid to do the treadmill test because he wanted to put me into a arrythmia on purpose to determine the source of it. This just freaked me out. I was afraid of dying on the machine just trying to find out what's going on with me.My doctor said the chances of that are 1 in 10,000 of that happening. He said it could be life threatening depending on where the arrythmia was coming from and that test was suppose to reavel that. I'm scared to do this and i don't know what to do. Why is it that i can't drink alcohol, have caffeine or even take my asthma medicine anymore without rythym disturbances if everything is structually normaa with my heart. The only thngs i can think of is i have taken viagra in the past and had severe chest pains the morning after and i have abused my asthma meds like albuterol and primatene mist, which i heard is bad for you. Could it be that i damaged the nodes in my heart permanetley that distribute the electrical signal they give off? If anyone can relate or has a hypothesis i would be so happy as to read it.
