Stick in there

by Nicoleyahoo75, Feb 16, 2009 11:59AM
Dont let the doctors tell you that there's nothing wrong, I've seen 3 cardo doc's all telling me it's normal. You know what if feels to be normal. You got to keep pushing I had the ablation and still having the same issues.. I read this site all the time and I cant believe that everyone's ok despite how they feel, you cant give up, there is a reason we're having these problems..  Stick in there..

I understand your frustration. Many of us have arrhythmias and you're right - they aren't actually normal. What the doctors usually mean is that they aren't life threatening. That's why they try to convince us that we really will be OK even though our heart may dance now and then. For some people that's hard to grab hold of and believe.

You know it's not about believing with me.. I think there's more to it.. I've had this problem for a while now only to realize that they don't do the tests unless you push.  They stopped me from working at 33 because I'm a risk to my job and put me on disability.. I don't think it's a matter of letting go, I think it a matter of fighting for your health..

I have to literally beg for my tests too, it really irritates me, I mean, it is MY health and MY money, so, why should they care. I know, my doc says I am in great health and not a high risk. Fine, but, let me have the tests to put my mind at ease. Sheesh, it makes me angry.

See I'm in Canada so we dont pay for our health care, the doc think that if the test says it's ok then it is.. But if anyone knows if I'm ok  it's me..

I know I may have to push to get them to run the tests for my heart. I'll get a Holter in a couple of weeks, if they think I'm okay I'll check about an echocardiogram so they can kind of "see" what is going on. I don't believe my anxiety is the "cause" of all my palpitations, PVCs, etc. I can be calm and suddenly I start up a series of skipping, jumping heart and I feel like something will happen.
