Strange "Heartbeats" around body

I am a 33yo male. For the last 6 months or so I have regularly felt strong pulses around my body, ranging from my right abdomen, left foot, lower back, right elbow and left shoulder. These pulses don't seem to be my actual heartbeat as they are a different pattern, however I have a strong pulse in my hands. I think my heartbeat itself is fairly normal. I recently had an endoscopy to confirm gastritis diagnosis and as a result had my heartrate and blood pressure taken, both which were fine apparently. I generally feel ok, but am a little worried that these strange beats I am getting are a sign of a heart problem. I have been very anxious about my health recently (not through much foundation), and have had tension headaches, and gastritis I beleive partly due to stress so wonder if this maybe related.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

These strange pulses are the vagus nerve going whacky.  To solve, take ReMag magnesium everyday.  Also, when it happens take 1/4 tsp ginger powder in water, it calms the vagus nerve down.  Another thing I’ve found is to take a little half and half (or sliced banana with half & half) it coats the stomach and calms the vagus nerve down.  Also, drink coconut water everyday, it helps.

Would strongly advise people NOT to take any sort of electrolyte like magnesium, sodium, calcium or potassium without physician advice.

Most of the time its harmless but if you're wrong about what's going on, or theres other medicines involved; these supplements could definitely kill some patients.

I'd *Strongly* advise anyone with a heart rhythm issue specifically to refrain from any supplements found in a vitamin store unless instructed.

I had a patient just the other day that was taking some sort of herbal supplement for joint health that contained a blood thinning agent that was interacting with her existing prescription blood thinners. DIY supplements should only be purchased by like.. completely healthy people.
I have found just the opposite to be true....I stay completely away from doctors and prescription meds and have done everything naturally with diet and supplements—therefore I never have to worry about my supplements interacting with prescription drugs because I’m never on them.  All of my problems & kids problems over the years have come from taking prescription drugs....therefore I have stayed clear away from them for years now.  Since staying away & doing my own research, I’m 100% on getting better from every sickness I had, including afib.  I was able to completely get rid of it all by these natural methods.  That ReMag magnesium has been a miracle for me without ANY side effects.  I let people know in case they too get “sick” of the medical system.  There really are many other ways of doing things...without harming yourself in the process.  My afib came from taking levequin years ago— besides giving me afib, it almost caused my Achilles’ tendon to rupture.  Luckily someone noticed me limping & brought it to my attention.  I then found that levequin  depletes your magnesium!!  And,  If you have afib, you need magnesium.  Once I got the magnesium up, I no longer had either problem.   Levequin is the last prescription drug I will ever take.

Hi,
I have these sensations also. I have a heart condition, but are told by cardiologists/EPs it is not heart related. I too think it is neurological. I was bitten by ticks long time ago and have had many strange symptoms that fit nevroborreliosis. Lyme tests are negative though I still suspect borreliosis. Living in Europe.

After reading the posts I had to write  a post.   I have the exact same symptoms as TERMINALV.   Mine have been going on for about 5 yrs .   They range from 5 or 6 pulses a day to 30 or 40 per day .   I do have high blood pressure and I am on meds for it.   The doctor seems to think its related to the high blood pressure but I dont think it is.    Have you found out anything new on your condition since your last post ?
Any info would be great.

Twitches, jerks, spasms, etc anywhere in the body are likely to be a neurological condition.  You can use a stethoscope to listen to your heart, and if it has a regular beat then you need to head to a neurologist.  But do not be shocked if they are unable to diagnose the problem.  However they may be able to rule out serious conditions.

I have had these since last summer and I have told the doctors but they seem to overlook or ignore what I tell them. I also have heart problems but this all started long after that. Pulses all over-legs, arms, jaws, buttocks, feet, etc. I think doctors should take these problems more seriously. People can have problems at any age. It's hard enough convincing the doctors that my heart problem is real and not just anxiety seeing as my mother has heart problems similar=my grandmother died of a heart attack and my dad's father died of a heart attack....what more do they need for proof?

Hi randomly came across your post. Did your symptoms (pulsing sensation) ever go or get diagnosed? Having this happen to me. Constant pulsing in right leg buttocks and lower back. Thanks

I am a 36 yr old male and i have these strange pulse (pulsing) feelings also.. I have them every where from legs (left more than right) arms, cheeks, eye lid (no not a blepherospasm ), butt cheek, etc..   none of them feel like a spams.. they feel like a small pulse sensation. some are multiple pulses (2-5 or 6) and some are only one quick pulse.  I have consulted a doctor and have been told " You are too young to be concerned about heart issues" and I don't like that answer.  We did labs to check electrolyte  levels to eliminate muscle twitches.  So I am at a loss too as to what this is.
There seems to be no correlation to activity levels although i have to say I only notice them (since they are "light" feeling) when i am sitting still or lying down.  Some are in the same area and some seem to stop and others show up in other places.
My cholesterol level is a tad high and I wonder if I am not feeling "thick" blood pushing through tight areas.
I had also mentioned to the doctor, that on 3 occasions  I have felt something actually move through me. Once down into my right leg, once across my chest into my right arm and the last (and scariest) from my chest up the left side of my neck into my head. And again was blown off as being "too young"

So if any of this rings a bell to anyone.. pls leave a comment ..

Thanks, Walt

There is a strong connection between stress, anxiety, emotional upset and heart arrhythmia, but your "around body" experience is totally new to me.

Keep watching this post, there should be other replies.

Good luck, and find out some way to calm down...use this community, family, friends who you can release your anxious feels too.  Let them change the subject to something you both enjoy, try to do the same inside you head.  Just some suggestions, I'm sure you're already doing similar things.
